Intensive-course-spanish

INTENSIVE SPANISH COURSE (20 H)

 

Our intensive Spanish course is one of our most popular choices and consists of 4 lessons per day.

Thanks to Debla´s intensive course students learn Spanish quickly in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

 

Students are encouraged to speak Spanish from day one. Once a student has immersed themselves in the language they should be able to develop and hold a conversation in Spanish.

We include Spanish literature, history, geography, flamenco and general Spanish culture to suit all levels.

Duration: 1-52 weeks

Number of lessons: 20 per week

Levels: from A1 to C2

Maximum class size: 8 students

Average class size: 5-6 students

Schedule: 9-13 or 15-19 (schedule is subject to change)

SUPERINTENSIVE SPANISH COURSE (30 H)

 

This course is aimed at those students who are interested in optimizing their time with us at Debla and gaining a deeper knowledge of both the language and culture.

This Spanish language course is based on our Intensive Course with an additional 2 daily hours to reinforce what has been learned and taught in the standard course. The course is suitable for those students who need to learn as much possible in a limited period. It is recognised in Germany for “Bildungsurlaub”.

 

*Suitable for students with level A2 or more.

Number of lessons: 30 per week

Levels: from A1 to C2

SPANISH COURSES FOR GROUPS

 

This Spanish course is designed for groups where the participants share the same interests, objectives and language level. If a group consists of more than x number of students, we can of course divide the group into different levels.

 

Objetives

The objective of this stay in Malaga is that the students practice the language in both the school and in their daily routine. Many students have never practiced their language skills outside the classroom in their own country and this is a great opportunity for students to practice as well to discover that they can speak and understand it in everyday situations. It is a positive learning experience for the student and encourages them to continue their language studies once they are back in their home country. The stay in Malaga with Debla includes a Spanish language course, accommodation and a complete programme of extra-curricular activities (excursions, museum visits, sports activities, parties etc.)

 

Who is this course aimed at?

Our group courses are suitable for any and all groups of people who share an interest in learning Spanish.
We welcome both school and university groups as well as groups of friends, work colleagues etc.

The course content is flexible and designed and programmed around the needs and interests communicated to us by each individual group.

PRIVATE SPANISH LESSONS

 

Private lessons are suitable for students who need to maximise their learning in a limited period and/or for those students that need to focus on learning specific topics, vocabulary etc. Our teachers design a dynamic course to fit your schedule, level and individual style of learning.

These lessons are for one or two students. One lesson is 60 minutes.

 

Objetives

The objective of these lessons is to provide the student with all the necessary learning tools as well as content to match their individual learning demands and goals. The language spoken, as in all of our courses, is Spanish and so the student will be using Spanish to discuss their selected and preferred topics.

 

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at all those students who have very specific interests, needs and objectives and who also wish to learn as much as possible in a short period of time. Many Spanish language teachers around the world use these one-to-one lessons as an opportunity to “recycle” themselves. Many companies also see private lessons as a chance to teach their employees company specific terms and topics.

Many other students choose to have a few private lessons combined with our intensive course in order to reinforce what they have learned or indeed to gain a deeper understanding of specific topics of interest to them.

DELE COURSE (25 H)

 

Bearing in mind the importance given to certification nowadays, at Debla we prepare students to successfully sit the different stages of the official DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) exam issued by the Instituto Cervantes. This exam takes place either in Spain or in many other countries. Our teachers are all trained in preparing students for this official exam.

Duration: 2- 4 weeks

Number of lessons: 25 per week

Levels: from A1 to C2

Maximum class size: 8 students

Average class size: 2-3 students

SIELE COURSE (25 H)

 

Debla is an exam centre for the official SIELE (International Service for Spanish Language Assessment) exam and you would be able to sit the exam at the school itself. Our SIELE preparation course will familiarice you with the exam format and provide you with the necessary skills to achieve optimal results. We will focus on your chosen competency, paying particular attention to those areas that you find most difficult. This course can be taken in preparation for all 4 competencies of the SIELE exam or if preferred can focus on a single module.

 

The official SIELE exam and its four competencies are as follows:

 

1. Reading comprehension

2. Listening comprehension

3. Written expression and interaction

4. Spoken expression and interaction

50+ COURSE

 

Our 50+ course is designed for anyone over 50 years of age who is interested in both Spanish culture and cuisine and who wishes to learn and/or improve their Spanish language skills.

This Spanish language course is based on our intensive course and consists of 4 hours of lessons per day and an additional programme of extracurricular activities to practice the language.

Activities included in a 1 week course:

Guided visit to Malaga / Welcome meeting / “Safari de bares” (tapas tasting) / 1 guided visit to a monument/museum / 1 cooking lesson

 

Activities included in a 2 weeks´ course:

Guided visit to Malaga / Welcome meeting / “Safari de bares” (tapas tasting) / 2 visits to a monument/museum / 2 cooking lessons with a visit to the market / 1 excursion

IMPORTANT: If there are not sufficient students enrolled in the 50+ course, students will join the intensive course at the appropriate language level.

MIXED COURSE (intensive Spanish course + special classes)

 

Mixed course

This Spanish course is perfect for those students wishing to take part in our 4 hour intensive course while also having some additional lessons to practice specific topics.

All our courses are highly practical and are a combination of either our intensive or superintensive courses. This course is suitable for those who wish to address specific issues:

 

1. Gastronomy

Our gastronomy course is highly practical, suitable for students who wish to perfect their cooking skills. This course is combined with our intensive course. Students of all levels are welcome to join.

 

2. Dance

Our dance course is for those students who wish to further their Spanish language course with an introduction and practice of various dances associated with Hispanic culture: flamenco, salsa and bachata. This course is also a combination of our intensive course and is suitable for all students of all language levels – from beginners to advanced.

 

3. Guitar

Our guitar course is designed for those who are interested in expanding their learning by enjoying the Spanish instrument par excellence: the Spanish guitar. Again, this is combined with our intensive course and is available to students of all language levels.

 

4. Literature course

This course is aimed at students who are interested in extending their knowledge of Spanish and Latin-American literature from its very beginnings to present day. We recommend a minimum language level of B1 to take part in this course.

 

5. Commercial Spanish

This course is aimed at students who are interested in extending their knowledge of commercial Spanish and commercial habits in Spain. We recommend a minimum language level of B1 to take part in this course.

 

Course programme

Our intensive course consists of 4 hours of lessons per day and includes the Spanish language in general. At Debla, we teach all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced. In addition to the hours spent in class an additional 1.5 hours is spent on homework.

SPANISH CITIZENSHIP

 

Are you looking for Spanish citizenship?

If so, at Debla we can inform you of the requirements issued by the Spanish Ministry of Justice. In accordance with the law, in order to gain Spanish citizenship, it is necessary to have a minimum DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) A2 or higher and also pass the CCSE exam (Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge Spain).

SUMMER CAMP

Our summer programmes are a perfect combination of Spanish courses in Malaga with both cultural and leisure activities (adventure activities, sporting activities, water activities) to ensure that students have great fun learning while also getting to know their classmates. Moreover, we also arrange cultural visits to Malaga itself and guided daytrips to nearby cities so that students can explore and discover the wonderful culture Andalusia has to offer.
