From your first message to your first class

Choose the intensive course (20 lessons/week) and your dates, then submit the enrolment form.

We send you all the details you need to complete the payment.

Acceptance letter

As soon as we receive payment, we issue your acceptance letter for you to submit to the consulate.

You submit your documents to the consulate and wait for the visa decision.

Which authorisation or visa applies to your stay?

This is a general guide. The exact documents and requirements may vary depending on your nationality and the Spanish Consulate where you submit your application. Always confirm the information with your consulate.

Category C

Short stay · up to 90 days

  • Valid passport
  • Medical insurance (when required)
  • Course enrolment or admission letter (if you are travelling to study)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Return ticket or proof of departure (when applicable)
  • Proof of sufficient financial means
Important: If you wish to take a language course in Spain for less than 90 days, the requirements will depend on your nationality and type of stay. Always check with the Spanish Consulate before travelling.
Category D

Study stay · more than 90 days and up to 180 days

  • Valid passport
  • Admission letter from the educational institution
  • Proof of course payment
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Medical insurance valid for the entire stay
  • Proof of sufficient financial means (100% of the current IPREM)
Note: A medical certificate and criminal record certificate are generally not required for stays of up to 180 days, although the consulate may request additional documentation if it considers it necessary.
Category D

Study stay · more than 180 days

  • Valid passport
  • Admission letter from the educational institution
  • Proof of course payment
  • Medical insurance valid for the entire stay
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Medical certificate (when required)
  • Legalised or apostilled criminal record certificate (when required)
  • Proof of sufficient financial means (100% of the current IPREM)

Frequently asked questions

What we are asked most often

It varies by consulate, but allow several weeks. Ideally, apply 2–3 months in advance.
In some cases, yes — up to a maximum of 30 hours per week (5 hours per day). It is not automatic: the employer must apply for your work authorisation linked to the study visa (Royal Decree 1155/2024). Studying must remain your main activity, and the authorities may refuse or revoke the permit if they consider that it interferes with your studies.
In many cases, no — a tourist visa (Category C) may be sufficient, depending on your nationality. Check with your consulate to confirm.
Between 1 and 3 months before the course starts. We recommend booking an appointment 2 months in advance, as some consulates may not have immediate availability.
If your visa is refused, we will refund the amount paid minus €200. Any bank charges arising from the refund are the student's responsibility.
